Response of Stresses Hormones to Interval Training in Young Men

Background & Objective: Coaches and athletes are always looking for training methods to improve physical capabilities of athletes. This present study, therefore, emphasizes the advances and facts relating to metabolic stress hormones, diabetes, and exercise.
Material &Methods: Twenty apparently healthy students whose mean age was 20.50±2years, mean heights 1.60±0.10 m and average body weight 60.20±5.53 kg participated in the study with internal training exercise program for six weeks.
Results: The testosterone, cortisol levels were increased while the insulin level decreased although only cortisol and testosterone mean differences were significant after the exercise (p<0/05).
Conclusion: From the result, it can be concluded that interval training exercise programs are effective. Exercise is therefore recommended as a non-pharmacological strategy in some metabolic syndrome such as non-insulin dependent diabetes and obesity among students who are to an extent prone to stress.
